Our second video goes into the making of different kinds of molds. Hand building and refining these constructions is also shown. More about sanding and grinding as related to shaping is included. We instruct in several types of casting methods that can be expanded upon. They are simple and straight forward but if a different casting material were to be selected the principles would be the same. Making molds can be rather puzzling but we show you the solutions. Making a finger, flower or wing are more of a task than filling a tiny chip or crevice. They are not an impossible task. The making of parts of something missing should not be avoided forever. The end of a spout to a pitcher, a very frequent problem, is a sculptured construction that once understood can be made by anyone and will look like it belongs there.
This video is also available with restoration supplies used in the demonstrations. You will find the Kit options listed under Video with Supplies Kits.
